Pet-Proofing and Dig-In Barriers
For a dog, we staple mesh along the fence and set it a few inches into the ground. Keeping skunks and other small animals from digging in takes mesh buried in an L shape, which takes much more digging and labor but works. It can go in with a new fence or be added to the one you have. We also fit self-closing gates and close up gaps.

Split Rail Fencing
Traditional New England post-and-rail for property lines, yards, and larger properties. Two or three rails, with mesh added if you need to keep pets in.

Panel Fencing
Wood panel fences, from privacy to picket and styles in between. We use northern white cedar, which weathers to silver-gray and holds up to the salt air.

Pool Areas
We build the fence around the whole property, and it can take in the pool area. We do not build stand-alone pool enclosures.

Deer Fence
Usually 7 or 8 feet tall and mostly mesh. It is a bigger job than an ordinary fence, and anything over 7 feet needs a building permit, so we check the town's rules for your property first.

Fence Installation
New fences from scratch. We lay it out, set the posts and walk it with you at the end. Most of our installs are cedar panels, split rail, or a fence around the whole property.

Fence Removal and Demolition
Taking out an old fence, posts and all. Most old posts are set in concrete, so we either dig those footings out and haul the concrete away for disposal, which costs a bit more, or leave them in the ground, which is cheaper. If a new fence is going in the same holes, the old concrete has to come out either way, and that part is in the project price. The disposal charge is listed in your estimate.

Gates
Ready-made cedar and vinyl gates from our suppliers, sized to your opening, supplied and installed. Walk gates and small doubles. We do not build custom gates or do motorized ones. If you want a custom gate, your own carpenter can build it and we will hang it.

Free On-Site Estimate
We come to the property, look at the ground, measure, and go over materials and options with you. Then you get a clear quote, with no pressure to sign.
Dig Safe and Pre-Dig Disclosure
We premark the dig area and call 811 (Dig Safe) at least 72 hours before digging, required by MA law. Dig Safe marks public utility lines only. Private lines (septic, propane, irrigation, landscape lighting, invisible fence) are the property owner's responsibility to identify before work begins. You'll sign a Pre-Dig Disclosure confirming all private utilities have been disclosed.
Schedule and Install
We set the install date, order the materials and get to work, weather permitting. Most residential fences take one to three days, depending on the size of the job.
Final Walkthrough
We clean up the job site and walk the finished fence with you, and we don't leave until you're happy with it.
